Spoonrest Welsh Dragon Celtic Weave
Our Welsh Dragon spoon rest with its vibrant colours will make a wonderful addition to any kitchen. It was designed in the style of 9th Century ancient Celtic manuscripts which would have been painted by monks onto vellum or calf skin. The Dragon was chosen as a symbol of Wales in the time of Henry VII (15th Century). This was done in tribute to the Welsh people who had made his victory possible, as he fought the Tudor claim to be the true rulers of Britain.
On the back of the display card you will find a recipe for the traditional Welsh dish, Cawl Cymreig.
